While I admired his talent and the reports of his being a funny, kind, caring, and down-to-earth person, I never met Kevin Smith and had no personal connection to him. Yet I am deeply saddened by the news of his death. I can only imagine the pain of those who truly knew him. My sincere condolences go out to his family and his many friends.

You all gave so much for Xena and all of Kevin's projects. I wish you to have strength in the future, and am so so so sorry for the loss you, and the entire Xena fandom, have suffered. Kevin was an amazing person, and even though I never had a chance to meet him, what I hear is that he was a kind soul. It is such a sad thing to hear this and I wish you all the best in the future.

I always will remember a phrase I’ll never will forget: “Destiny comes to pass in strange ways.”
Sometimes somebody leave us at the peak of his creativity, at the peak of his life.
We feel helpless and curse the unfairness of destiny.
Today destiny took us a wonderful man, friend, actor, husband and father.
A man who was young enough to have the chance to reach so much more in his life.
We cannot change it or make it unhappened.
The only thing we can say is it has really happened.
Today all the fans and friends stand together for one minute – not only to mourn – but to thank him for so many hours of joy he gave us.
Finally he reached more than others dreamed to have – our love and support.
Therefore he will never be forgotten.
But I will pray for his family too.
I want to let them know that you are not alone in these terrible hours. Although I know that this can never heal your pain of this loss.
At the end I have a little poem for you:
They bury his hands – but not his creativity
They bury his heart – but not his love
They bury his body – but not his soul
They bury a human being – but they cannot bury our memories.
Some days earlier I had a funeral too.
And a friend of the family said some strong words about the deceased.
He has not leave us
He only took a step forward.

He was a man of incredible talent, who never held back for the camera. I'd like to say that I knew him, however I am merely a proud fan of his work on screen. My thoughts and prayers go out towards you and your staff about the untimely death of Kevin Smith (Ares) God of War. He was an excellent actor portraying Xena's lover in Xena Warrior Princess. But I am gonna say that he will be definitely be missed by all of us.
May my prayers go out towards his whole family especially towards his wife and 3 young and adorable children.

Though you don't know most of Kevin's fans, I want to let you know that he brought a lot of joy to many of us through his work. I was lucky enough to meet your wonderful husband this past October in Dearborn at the Creation convention. He gave us fans an experience we'll never forget. Our condolences and regards
We wanted to send our condolences, regards and best wishes to Kevin's wife, Suzanne, his sons, parents and the rest of his relatives and friends
There aren't words to express how deep sorry we are at this lost, how much we appreciated him -as a person and as an actor- and how much we'll miss him.
We are writing from Spain not only as Xena's fans, but as people who admired Kevin and loved him -in our way- and who are really touched and saddened by this news.
He was a great actor and a great man and a lot of people loved him, we know 'cause we do too, and we'll always have him in our hearts.
We know that no words will return him, but we hope this letter will be able to show his family how much we loved him here, in Spain. As well as in a lot of other places where Kevin's talent and charming personality arrived.
There are not words left to say. Just send our best wishes of a life filled with joy and good memories, we're sure he'd like it. We would like you all to have present he won't go 'cause he won't be forgotten. He'll be with us always. To quote Xena: "And to the place where I'll always remain … your heart." I'm sure he's there now, as he always has been; in our hearts.

I just want to send my deepest and profound condolences to the Smith family. I met Kevin at the 2000 Pasadenas Convention and he was a wonderful person to be around. He made us all laugh and feel on cloud 9 with his beautiful voice and his fabulous energy. I was the sign language interpreter for Kevin the day he was on stage and also the night show that they did. All my love to Kevin's wife and sons.

I... I don't really know what to say, except I am so sorry. I heard he was in the hospital and hoped with all my heart that he would recover. but this morning I heard he passed away and all I could do was sit there and cry. I regret that I never got the chance to meet him. Everyone who has ever reported meeting him says the experience was wonderful and positive. Kevin was a great actor, who gave us a peek into the world of the kiwi's. He was said to be on the point of breaking through in Hollywood, but here in the Netherlands, he was the man of the hour. I, and all the other Dutch fans, wish you all the best in the upcoming days and the time to come. I know there will always be an empty space in my heart, that can never be filled again. The world has lost a great man and will mourn his loss. may God give you the strength to carry on.

I found your email on one of the Xena message boards and I felt like I had to send in something. Kevin in the times of Xena that I watched him in, meant a lot. He was a tremendous actor. And from what I heard a wonderful person in everything and everyone he touched. Today when I heard the news I cried, cried a lot. So I'm putting something small on my Renee O' Connor site for Kevin. But I also when I found your email wanted to say that his family and friends are in my prayer, and if Kevin had any favorite charities or anything like that I would love to donate some money to them if I could. I can't imagine what the family is going through, I know what it's like to loose someone you love very much but we all go through loosing someone in our own ways. So I can't say I know how they feel. All I can offer is my small tribute on my site, maybe donating money to his charity or if he had any favorites and of course prayers for his family and friends. As another favorite actor of mine Michael Landon once said, "Remember me through laughter and smiles, for that's how I'll remember you, but if you remember me through tears, don't remember me at all." I believe Kevin might want the same thing, however, it's hard not to cry. Best wishes to all Kevin has touched with his life especially his family and friends.

Today. Today, we lost a great person. Across the World those who knew him in any way had their hearts crushed. . And I joined them.
Heartache and a terrible sense of loss knowing that we will miss someone that filled us with happiness and made us feel good is gone for all time. Memories. Shock. Denial. It all is surreal. Why does it always seem to happen to the good ones? How many times in a day can you ask this question? I shake my head and try to clear it for a moment. Gone.

As many of you have already heard the terribly sad news, our beloved Ares, actor Kevin Smith has passed away due to injuries suffered in a fall in China.
This news reached all of us attending the annual Official Xena Convention in Pasadena where most of the Xena cast along with fans from around the world were gathered.
The fact that so many of us were together was incredibly comforting and we want to thank all of our guests for their performances and remembrances.
The amazing and continuing generosity of fandom was evident as an effort to help Kevin's family was begun.

I'm a fan of the X:WP and H:TLJ shows since the beginning. I was shocked when I read about Mr. Smith accident, and almost couldn't believe it when I found out that he was dead. I wanted to ask you if you can pass a thought to his family. I didn't have the honor of meeting him in person, but he has a special place in my heart.
