P.S. I just updated a partial list of TV Times for August and September in Tony's TV Times Section...
From May 21, 2007:
Hello All!
TONY wrote in to confirm the News on the pilot he filmed being picked-up by NBC called "Chuck" was my news of the week. Will know in the upcoming weeks, where we are with the production, and when shooting starts. It's gonna fall on Chuck's shoulders, how this flies. And since this is from the producers of "OC", augmented by the slash and dash directorial style of "McG"....This should fit into the perimeters. Ran into Tim Russ at the YMCA tonight (May 16th), and his pilot, "Sam, I AM" also got selected. He's on ABC, Mondays, after "Dancing with the Stars", all we get is following, "My Biggest Loser". Next step is passing Network tweaking, and getting offered a substantial initial contract, but all looks good. The Female agent, directly works and reports to me, So if the show is a hit, I'm practically guaranteed a series regular assignment. Wrapped today on "Without a Trace". Anthony LaPaglia and I did two flicks together in the early nineties. "Criminal Justice, and Keeper Of The City". Anyway. Life is good. many blessings abound, now if we can globally reduce the demand for oil, and bring our food cost down, and provide worldwide adequate healthcare. Everything would be roses.
Peace
T"
I was checking out NBC's Fall Preview and was SUPER Glad to see that CHUCK has been added to the line-up!!! The NBC Fall Season begins Monday, Sept. 24th and CHUCK can be seen on Tuesday Nights at 9pm on NBC! Tony wrote back in March, "Worked on a NBC pilot called "Chuck". Sort of OC meets 24. I play the CIA head. If it flies, I'm a possible regular." Check out the TRAILER for CHUCK...Tony is in it!!! :) From this Trailer, it almost looks to me like: '40 Year Old Virgin' mixed with 'The Matrix', but with 20 Somethings... ;) It has tounge-in-cheek humor, but with COOL Action Scenes!!! I can't wait to see it!!! :)
From May 12, 2007:
I heard from TONY and he has some GREAT News that can't be broadcast just yet, but stay tuned!!! : )
TONY also said, "Just wrapped a day's shooting on "Without A Trace" (# 6 show on our globe btw). Went to a superb screening of "Mannsfield 12" last night (May 11) at Harmony Gold. Sold out. Great audience response. It's my Prison film btw, directed by Craig Ross. I play Hunnit Grand (Not the Candy Bar) trapped in a wheelchair, and doing life. Running the joint. "Man From Earth" has got a release as well as "Richard Speck, Hackett, Dark Reel" What a year. And Tournament is finally on the shelves after four frustrating years. Anyway. Quick exciting update,
Talk to you soon

Below are 3 photos that Briar sent of Tony and her at the studio. :)
Many Thanks to Tony for writing in a couple letters with the following:
"Minotaur" is making it's American debut on Sci-Fi, on Sat. March 11th. We're a little disappointed by the placement, as the film is still being released theatrically world wide. I'm sorry that American audiences are going to experience it with commercials, but film was a labor of love, brilliantly directed by Jonathon English, and made in the lovely city of Luxembourg. Test screenings left the studio concerned about the universal appeal. The further dumbing down of America. Minotaur took three years to be filmed, helmed by one of the most committed directors I've ever had the pleasure of working with, Jonathon English. And shot in the winter.
Life is what she is

Check out the IMDB for a Plot Summary written by Mykol Gantt: <<Long ago in the Iron Age a shadow loomed over a lonely village. For generations the village youths are stolen from their families and delivered as sacrifice to a mythical beast - the Minotaur, that dwells beneath a great palace. Theo, haunted by the loss of his love in an earlier sacrifice is convinced that the beast isn't real and that his girl still lives as a slave within the palace. His father Cyrnan, the village leader, tries to reason with Theo not to go but Theo is driven by blind rage. He devises a plan and is taken with the other youths who are dragged screaming from their families.>>
Also, Check out IonCinema.com and a review from Nick Grey, from Jan 13, 2006, He Gave it 5 Stars! <<A brilliant rendition of the classic myth for the post 'Scream', MTV generation. Tony Todd is at his best, leanding the film an emotional depth that compliments the lush sets, gore and sheer sex appeal. As usual Rutger Hauer is watchable, and rising star Tom Hardy plays the lead role with committment. Could be a cult fim despite the fairly work-a-day script. If gorgeous women kissing each other and blood and guts are your thing - watch that space!>>
From Feb. 28th
Many Thanks to Tony for writing in with the following:
"I wanted to post a word about my last film. "Man From Earth". That was an extremely rewarding experience. Very committed and talented group of artists, some of us will assuredly continue to cross paths, Annika Peterson, David Lee Smith, Richard Riehl, whom I've worked with on Driven, and Hackett. This was Jerome Bixby's last script. He's best known for writing "Fantastic Voyage", some of the first Twilight Zone and Star trek episodes. This story is about a farewell party for a favorite college professor, who uses the event to tell an inquisitive group that he's actually several centuries old. Beliefs and proof are offered as evidence, and everyone's life is forever changed. This is an important work of Sci-Fi, and what if? I was blessed to be included. Also did an interview for Dead-Central.com yesterday (Feb. 24, 2006).
(From Feb. 28th)
I want to share a tribute for one of most powerful influences in my life. The late, great Don Knots. Who passed last weekend. I love Barney Fife. Since childhood. He wore his expressions for the world to see. Like a kid. You knew when he was happy, or sad. And the comedic work was amazingly beautiful To this day. For me. That's one of my secrets.
Let's whistle one for sweet ole' Mayberry.

Many Thanks to Lady_marinus for the Shadow Puppets link! :)
From November 21, 2005:
Tony plays Steve in the movie Shadow Puppets. James Marsters (best known as Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Jolene Blalock (T'Pol from Star Trek Enterprise) are his co-stars!!!
Many Thanks to Tony for writing in and letting me know, "Starting "Shadow Puppets" tomorrow (Nov.2nd, 2005). They've signed James Marsters, and the woman from enterprise. (From Nov. 21st) Just wrapped "Shadow Puppets" yesterday. I really like the film. James Marsters and I became good friends. Rest of the cast is extremely flexible. It was fun. One the most extended, cast and crew, final applause, I've ever had. We had a strange two days, at "Loma Vista", a deserted insane asylum just off the Boyle st. Bridge. six accidents in 48 hours, from heart plapatations, scratched cornea's, Electrician being shocked, whiplash, and our script supervisor fell and broke her foot. But overall everyone was committed, or should've been."
Many Thanks to Geneva and Jeff for letting me know the following, "Tony is shooting "Shadow Puppets" here in Los Angeles with Jolene Blalock and James Marsters for producer Bob Crowe and Ross Goldfarb and for director Michael Winnick. I was on the set the other day and it looks great............this will be a very big film."
From the Internet Movie DataBase, the "Tagline: They don't know who they are. Where they are. Or what is trying to kill them." From the OFFICIAL site at Shoreline Entertainment, the plot of the movie is: "Eight people awake in an abandoned asylum and soon discover that they are subjects of an experiment. As they try to escape a vicious Shadow Creature stalks them, threatening their lives from the darkness." They also have a photo of Tony in Prison on their site and a link to a Fangoria Magazine article about the movie, which has a photo of Tony from his other movie SHADOW: DEAD RIOT!
A Message from James from the James Marsters Live Website says, "Start filming on Monday on Shadow Puppets. It's a psychological thriller and I'm really excited about it all." Another Message from James from The Official James Marsters Site says, "As many of you may have already heard, I started today on the feature film “Shadow Puppets.” It is a great script and I really like the director. I’ll keep you all posted as it goes along."

SHADOW: DEAD RIOT stars acclaimed actor and genre icon Tony Todd (CANDYMAN 1, 2, 3, FINAL DESTINATION 1, 2, THE CROW and others). Mr. Todd delivers his most powerful and evil performance as a serial killer occultist who is convicted, executed and resurrected as an undead killing machine with a dark mission.
SHADOW: DEAD RIOT is a unique stylistic fusion of Asian-style action and atmospheric horror set in a women’s prison. The cast features an ensemble of strong, two-fisted female convict characters that unite to wage an all-out battle against an army of the undead who rise from the cursed prison grounds. Leading the cellblock slayers is Fever-Dreams star discovery, actress/model Carla Greene, the screen’s latest and greatest kick-ass action heroine who single-handedly takes on all formidable foes- living and dead!
Making his U.S. directorial debut with SHADOW: DEAD RIOT is award-winning director of photography Derek Wan. His impressive Hong Kong cinematography credits include Jet Li’s FIST OF LEGEND (distributed by Dimension/Miramax), Michelle Yeoh’s ROYAL WARRIORS (distributed by 20th Century Fox) and ONCE UPON A TIME IN CHINA V, among others.
Tony Leung Siu-Hung, whose countless credits include Bruce Lee’s ENTER THE DRAGON, Jackie Chan’s TWIN DRAGONS and LEGEND OF THE DRUNKEN MASTER, is the film’s action consultant. His martial expertise fuel-injects SHADOW with over-the-top Hong Kong-style stunts. Ace make up effects artisan Allan Cooke (RESIDENT EVIL 2, WRONG TURN) supervised the film’s zombie and gore effects.
The film’s editor is Chan Ki Hop (THE VAMPIRE EFFECT, Jackie Chan’s THE MEDALLION, Jet Li’s FIST OF LEGEND, BEAST COPS). Ki-Hop was recently nominated for the coveted Golden Horse award (Asia’s Oscar equivalent) for Fruit Chan’s DUMPLINGS segment of THREE EXTREMES, a new anthology horror film coming soon from Lion’s Gate. From October 31, 2004:
Sadly, on October 10, 2004, we have lost a most wonderful actor and Humanitarian: Christopher Reeve. Tony starred in the 'Black Fox' Western Trilogy with Christopher in 1995. Tony wrote in to say:
Concerning C. Reeve.
I'd like to thank him for his vast humanitarian and artistic contributions to our planet. To urge his fans to research and request our government into more stem cell research. His tragedy should not pass in vain.
Rock the vote.
Peace
T
My Mother, sister and I were fortunate to be able to see Christopher and his lovely wife Dana in person at the Caroline Rhea Show last year when he was promoting his book 'Nothing is Impossible: Reflections on a New Life'. The show gave us a copy of his heart-warming book. I remember us being really excited for him as he was telling how he could finally move a finger which until that time was impossible as he was paralyized from the neck down and how his foundation was making strides in raising money for research. We were quite hopeful for him as well as a close friend of ours who had a terrible bicycle accident that has left her paralyized. My earliest memories of Christopher was of being a young girl when 'Superman' came out and trying desperately to stay awake thru a triple feature at the drive-in so I could see it! :) My first introduction to Tony's work as an actor was by watching the 'Black Fox' trilogy movies in which the 2 starred. My hope is that the legacy that Christopher started will continue. My prayers and best wishes are now with his family! Sincerely, Angela L. Wheaton aka ALWheaties

From July 2004:
From June 2004: Many Thanks to Alex v for sending in a link to the Fangoria.com News Page! Calum Waddell did an interview with Tony for Fangoria, which had lots of info on MANY of Tony's Upcoming work from when Tony was in London for a comic con. From May 2004: Tony wrote to say, "just got offered a cameo doing Chuck Berry for an independent film."
I had just got this letter from Tony letting me know about the cameo, then also in my mailbox was a letter from Darlene Lieblich, who is the Producer of the film: 'HEART of the BEHOLDER' which lists Tony as Mr. Chuck Berry! :) Also starring in the film is: John Dye ("Touched By An Angel") - Manion, The Prosecutor; Matt Letscher ("Mark of Zorro") - Mike Howard - Lead; Sarah Joy Brown (3 time Emmy winner) - Diane Howard - Lead; Michael Dorn ("Worf" from "Star Trek - TNG") - Lt. From April 2004: Tony wrote to say, "My fall film project, JUSTICE, is shaping up beautifully. I play the title character in that one. It's a western being lensed in Santa Fe. More as it develops. Now we're gathering a bunch of good projects sweltering in the can, between PROPECY, and TOURNAMENT OF DREAMS."
From March 2004: Tony wrote to say, "Did you catch my stint on 24? Tournament of Dreams is shaping up quickly, and I'm scheduled to do a western with Bruce Boxleitner, in the fall, called 'justice." "So far it's only one appearance on 24, however they claim they want me to recur. We'll see. It was a solid experience."
Sadly, I missed the 24 episode!!! :( It aired on February 24, 2004 and was entitled: "Day 3: 3:00 A.M.-4:00 A.M.".
From December 2003: Tony wrote to say, "Negotiations have resurfaced for "Minotaur," Fully funded now and planning to shoot in march. Strong production meetings for a 25 million production of Candyman. Reinvented and relocated to New England. Targeted for Halloween 2005. I just booked an undisclosed # of eps on 24. Playing detective Norris. Pretty cool stuff. Last weekend CMX flew me to Atlantic City to watch ringside, Don Kings latest etravaganz. 8 championship bouts. It was wild. There are very high hopes for "Tournament of Dreams".
From November 2003: Tony wrote to say, "Filming is going strong. Lot of buzz already. Have placed key emotional scenes in the can. I really have high high hopes for this one. Just feels right. I'm costarring with a talented group of newcomers, mostly female. Strong, talented actresses...including, Joyful Drake, Shakira, Raven Simone, and more. Other adults are Debbie Allen, and Carl Lewis, of nine gold medals fame. Feeling happy about things."
From October 2003: Tony wrote to say, "Next week I start production on an independent film, called "Tournament Of Dreams." I'm really stoked about it, because I play another actual human being. "Isiah Kennedy, the High School coach of a girls basketball time. I don't get killed, or kill anybody in the flick. It's the lead role. Martin Landau's company. Director Don Abernathy". This is EXCITING News!!! I can't wait to see it when it comes out!!! : )
Tony wrote about "the Prophecy 5 film I did in Romania earlier this year. Dimension is really happy with it. Just finished ADR. Looks terrific. Very cool angels, and dialogue. Very sinister, but we already knew we could do that. It's being released by Dimension, don't know exact date. Director is Joel Sassoon. My character is Stark. Jason Scott Lee, Doug Bradley, and Kari Wuhner also in the cast. Cool."
Tony wrote in to say that, "Bravo has just chosen Candyman as one of the top hundred scariest movie of all time. Yeah. Mainstream acceptance". They are also in talks to see if another Candyman movie may be in the works. And, due to a question from Salina, Tony says that, "I've never appeared on "Seinfeld".
From April/May 2003: Yeah! Tony wrote to me! He said that he started filming Prophecy 5 in Bucharest, Romania! : ) He also mentioned that he did a special episode of The District...
Tony plays Stanley Carver aka Luther Potter in an episode of 'The District' called "Ella Mae" which 1st aired on CBS on May 10th, 2003. <<The series honors the memory of the late Lynne Thigpen, who played the tough-minded but compassionate director of police administration, Ella Farmer. The Tony Award-winning actress died in her Los Angeles home of a heart attack on March 12. In tonight's highly emotional episode, Mannion (Craig T. Nelson), who's still dealing with the aftermath of having been fired by the mayor, also faces a future without his friend and confidante when Ella dies suddenly from a stroke. But her death could bring life to a boy awaiting a heart transplant. At headquarters, Clive seeks Mannion's help in locating Ricky (William Turner), who disappeared shortly after Ella's death. Star Search winner Tiffany Evans guest stars.>> All my Best Wishes and prayers are with her family. Sincerely, Angela aka ALWheaties
Tony went to France to film 'Le Secret' which is scheduled out around next spring. It will probably hit the European film fests first.
TONY wrote in to say that, "Le Secret," will be at Cannes, on way or the other. I'm saddened that I won't be able to attend, but that film could explode anytime this year." Tony is currently On the Stage for King Hedley II.

Sadly, a friend of Tony's has passed away. Charlie Brown was in the play King Hedley II with Tony. Thanks to Jill for sending me the photos (Shown Left)! Tony had the following to say about his friend, "Charlie was an underated, but highly appreciated and respected actor in the theater community. When I first arrived in NYC, to stake my claim, his legend was already intact. Having originated roles in Home, and Soldiers Story, among others, seeming to miss out on Hollywood translations. When we were cast in the original productions of "King Hedley 2", I was thrilled to walk the boards with an actor of his emminence. I think the reviews in Pittsburgh, Seattle, and Boston speak for themselves. Futher proof that heaven is a more talented place than the turmoil left behind on earth." My prayers are with his family.
Tony was in a new August Wilson play called "King Hedley II" which made it's West Coast Debut at the Seattle Repertory Theatre from March 6 - April 8, 2000. TONY wrote in to tell about King Hedley II in Seattle, "Larger stage than Pittsburgh, and more production values. Richer language, and stronger dramatic Arc. Its a project that I'm gladly and with honor giving two years of my life to. Our unofficial trajectory is Boston, Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington, DC, and then New York. The play has been submitted for a Pulitzer, and decisions are announced in April. The jury which includes prominent forces in Show business will be coming to Seattle."
Tony will be in Boston at the Huntington Theatre Company. King Hedley II will run May 19-June 18, 2000!!! For tickets, Call the Box Office at (617) 266-0800. Check out Theatre.com. Also, Check out a report By Jessica Browner. This is EXCITING!!! I hope to see the play when it comes to Boston!!! : )

Stone was so impressed by the performance that he went backstage after the show and offered Todd the role of Sergeant Warren in "Platoon."
"He spent two years on a scholarship at the University of Connecticut which, in turn, led to a scholarship offer from the renowned Eugene O'Neill National Theater Institute. It proved to be his foundation and the touchstone for intense stints at the Hartman Conservatory in Stamford, CT and the Trinity Square Repertory Theater Conservatory in Providence, Rhode Island. He appeared in dozens of classical and many experimental plays, yet still managed to find time to teach playwriting to high school students in the Hartford public school system. To that end, and profoundly influenced by his Aunt Clara to be a positive force in the community, he organized and was the artistic director of the Free Me Truth Troupe, which recruits and works with the worst problem children in several cities around the country."
